Come dovrebbe funzionare un computer

Eric Berna shared a great experience in response to yesterday's question about RAID drives:

Years ago I set up a two-disk striped RAID array with Mac OS X's Disk Utility under Mac OS X 10.2 on a beige G3. I replaced that Mac with a G4, and the drive enclosure got shoved in a closet. I'm starting my spring cleaning early this year, and found that enclosure. Wondering what was on the disks, I dug out a SCSI card and hooked it up to my G4 running Mac OS X 10.4. The drive came right up. I'm using a different Mac, a different SCSI card, and a newer OS, and the RAID just worked.
